City Council Candidates “Graded”

Fox 4 reports a recent Town Hall meeting in Cape Coral brought up this new issue released about a “report card” that grades your primary candidates.

At this point we shouldn’t have to question each of their levels of education but rather let’s ask “WHO is PRO Growth?”— “WHO will support Land Development and future planning use to compliment the need for this growth- which will then provide jobs for so many of the unemployed in Cape Coral alone?!?”

Obama Vows No Cuts in Veterans Programs

This vow was made during his speech to the annual convention of the American Legion.

By the end of the year, Congress and the administration must agree to significant cuts in the 10-year deficit, with spending cuts shared among domestic and security programs, or face severe automatic across-the-board cuts that would fall particularly hard on military programs.

Mr. Obama also proposed a Returning Heroes Tax Credit for companies that hire unemployed veterans and a Wounded Warrior Tax Credit for companies that hire unemployed veterans with a disability. The unemployment rate among those who joined the military after Sept. 11 was at 13.3 percent in June.

Warren Buffett rescues Bank of America!?!

Who will rescue millions of home owners the bank enticed into refinancing and pulling all of their equity out of their homes and now left struggling to pay back the bank?

Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway announced it would invest $5 billion in Bank of America Corp.

Buffett also lent his credibility to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and General Electric Co. with investments of $5 billion and $3 billion respectively, during the 2008 financial crisis.

Those investments wound up being very lucrative for Berkshire; a profit on paper of $500 million was made on the stock warrants thanks to a surge in Bank of America’s stock price in the first hour after the deal was announced.
